A lovely treat, which I don't often eat for breakfast but do for a snack, is a sweet and juicy broiled grapefruit. Choose a shiny, firm and heavy ruby red grapefruit. The skin should be thin, where you can feel the segments, but not thin enough that the skin will break if you push it. Cut the grapefruit in half and sprinkle with brown sugar. Place it on a baking sheet and in the broiler for a few minutes and enjoy this scrumptious and juicy fruit.

I would have never thought to broil grapefruit...If it's truely yummy, mabe I'll give it a try!
it's truly yummy when it's warm!
Well, it must be because we are both from the Midwest that we like so many of the same things. That's the only thing I can attribute it to...but this is so funny! I love brown-sugared grapefruit but almost never it because it's not on my low-sugar diet. I'll have to remember it when I next cheat!!
and it's not that bad of a cheat!
I never thought of broiling it either.
